Be Always on the Alert

"My brethren, be patient until the coming of Mar-Yah; be patient like the caretaker of the field who waits for the precious fruits of his soil and is patient until he receives the early and the latter rain. You too should be patient in like this and strengthen your hearts; for the coming of our Lord is close." (James 5:7-8)

"A good man out of good treasures brings forth good, and a bad man out of bad treasures brings forth bad. For I say to you that for every vain word that the sons of men speak, they will give an account of it in the Day of Judgement. For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:35-37)

If one spends all his time and energy speculating about the return of Messiah, then he has no time for preparing for that most blessed event in the world; for that man the day of the Lord will come upon him like a thief in the night and he shall be shut out like the unwise virgins who were late in their arrival at the wedding banquet, and Messiah says to him, "I do not know you."

Speculating on dates, chronology and genealogies does nothing for the good of preparing for the arrival of the King Messiah, but rather, takes ones mind away from the more important matters of Torah and the teaching of Messiah and His Apostles.

The man who dabbles in numbers, so-called 'Bible codes', vain philosophies and new age "enlightenment" creates darkness in his own mind, building up wrath, confusion, and eventually disillusionment; such a man goes out to teach others to do the same, bringing destruction upon an entire generation of otherwise innocent souls, for truly, that man leads a generation astray into idolatry.

Do not turn your ears and your eyes to the philosophies of evil men, but rather, turn your ears and your heart to the pure teaching of Messiah, and do not speculate on matters that may or may not come in your own lifetime. When you do this, my children, your hands will be doers of the very Word in which He has spoken and that which has been taught to the Assembly by Holy Spirit. For James the Righteous said, "Every one of you be quick to hear and slow to speak and slow to anger; for the wrath of man does not bring the righteousness of God. Therefore, remove yourself from all impurity and the abundance of wickedness; and, with meekness, receive the word that is firmly planted in our nature, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if any man shall be a hearer of the word, and not a doer of it, he will be like one who sees his face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and passes on, and forgets what his appearance was. But all who look upon the perfect law of liberty and abides in it, is not a hearer of something to be forgotten, but a doer of the things; such a man will be blessed in his work."

Again the Apostle James said, "If a man says, I have faith; and he has no works? can his faith make him live?' And he also said, 'faith alone, without works, is dead. For a man may say, You have faith, and I have works; show to me your faith that is without works; and I will show to you, my faith by my works."

Children of God, do not grasp after gold and silver, building up for yourselves material things that only waste away and eat at your very soul because of the greed within your hearts.

Do not greedily harvest your grain or store up for yourself clothing and other material possessions based on vain speculation concerning the days to come, for Messiah said, "seek first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for each day is its evil."

Again the Apostle James said, "But what shall we say of those, who say: 'Today or tomorrow we will go to such-and-such city, and will take up residence there for a year; and we will trade there and make a profit'? You do not know what will occur tomorrow; for what is our life, but an exhalation that is seen for only a short time, and then it vanishes and is gone? Instead, they should being saying: 'If it is in accordance with the Will of Mar-Yah, we will live and we will do this or that'. However, they are full of arrogance and boasting, and all of these things are evil. Be careful, for he who knows that which is right, yet fails to observe them commits sin and becomes unclean. Those of you with riches stored up, you should be wailing and weeping due to the troubles that are coming upon you. For your riches have become spoiled and have begun to smell; and your garments are full of holes, being consumed by moths. Your gold and your silver have become covered with corrosion; and its corrosion will be a witness against you, and it will consume your flesh. Such a great fire will you have blazing against you in the last days."

Our Lord Yeshua the Messiah taught His disciples that they "should not store for yourselves treasure on the earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and they steal; but store for yourselves treasure in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy, and where thieves can not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there also is your heart."

And again our Master Teacher said, "You should not become anxious about your life: what you will eat and what you will drink; and not about your body, what you will wear. Is not your soul more important than food, and the body than clothing? Behold the birds in the sky, that they do not sow, and they do not reap, and they do not gather into storehouses. And your Father who is in heaven feeds them. Are you not more important than they? Who among you, while anxious, is able to add one thing to his importance? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the wild, how they grow without hard work and spinning, but I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these. But if God clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will he not much more clothe you, you of little faith?"

"Therefore do not be anxious, or say, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or, 'What will we wear?' For all these things the peoples of the world require and your Father who is in heaven also knows that you require all of these things."

Be always on the alert for those who are in your midst who touch the unclean thing of the false "Bible codes", kabbalah and other such idolatrous matters. Remove yourselves from them quickly, lest you go down into the pit in which they have dug for themselves, from which there may be no return.

Dwell among those who love God and His Torah; surround yourself with the people of Mar-Yah who study Torah day and night, and present the words of Messiah in a pure and unadulterated manner for your edification and the uplifting of your faith, thereby turning your hands to do the pure work of the true faith. Be patient for true understanding. Never speculate on matters that come to your ears, whether you hear them from a man of God or from a man of the world. Wait upon Holy Spirit to teach you in the Way.

"How shall a young man cleanse his way? By living according to your word. With my whole heart have I sought you: Oh do not let me wander from your commandments. I have laid up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Mar-Yah; teach me your statutes." (Psalm 119:9-12).

May God bless you in all your endeavours to be on alert to falsehood and to faithfully uphold His Torah,
